My Story Jar...'springtime'

Remember when I mentioned the 'story jar'?   Well, here it is and as easy as pie to make.   I love how it  turned out!  You can find the directions at alphabet glue dot com. (Look under samples in the sidebar).  I like the creative and easy crafts and book recommends they publish for children....(of all ages...grin) And,  through the years I've often admired candles that light up snow scenes and pretty pictures.  Who would have thought that its as easy as glueing  pictures in a  jar, and lighting a little tea light candle. This picture was from vintage clip art printed on pc paper.    love...love this!

Here is my little bird after dark....all lit up, and you can see that any printed words show up nice and clear for our enjoyment.  And, if our grandchildren's artwork or words are pasted here....the 'joy' part of enjoyment will be so sweet.

And by the way, if  you have the PBS itunes app....they have the Season Three episode 1 of 'Call the Midwives' is on  until June 17th. for free viewing!  I can't ever endorse tv shows 100 per cent...but so far...this episode was  excellent except when the nun with Altz....well,  you'll see.  (this isn't for kids though...simulated childbirth is...noisy & so on)

Its been a great week in spite of the rain.  And more rain.  I hope you have a blessed day of rest and worship tomorrow.

'Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the dooor of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing....'Psalms 141:3, 4a.  As we approach Easter... I am reminded of the horrible suffering Jesus endured for me....and I know it was for my sin he suffered and died to take the punishment for.  My eyes fill with tears.  I adore my Saviour....who died in my place.

'Who is this King of glory?  The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.' Psalm 24:10

That is so sweet and what fun.
We have sun and cool weather today but the rain is coming. With Easter so late this year we will have roses by then.

I love your candle - so cheery!
I also love Call the Midwife.
Psalm 24 is one of my favorites.

What a fabulous thing to do with a jar! I will have to follow your lead on this. It's like a Victorian fairy light, but looks easy to make.
