The Christmas plays and Cantatas' that blessed us so, are all over now, but what richness they lent to our lives.  When we do what is right and best,  sometimes there is an easyness to the doing, a richness that sits well on our hearts.  This little song by Elder Joseph of the Shaker Community in Maine sums it up well.

'Tis a gift to be simple, tis a gift to be free
Tis a gift to come down to where we ought to be...
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gain'd,
To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd...
To turn, turn will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come 'round right.

O to be right with God.  O to be like thee, blessed Redeemer, This is my constant longing and prayer........O to be like thee, O to be like thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as thou art!

Come in thy sweetness, come in thy fullness; Stamp thine own image deep on my heart.

'O To Be Like Thee' by Thomas Chisholm & William Kirpatrick~~~

I Sam. 16:7b   'for the Lord seeth not as man seeth, for the Lord looketh  upon the heart.'
