I love these portulaca flowers.  They bloom profusely and remind me for some reason, of pastel colored coconut macaroons!  I try to plant these every year..

We were off to the tea room for lunch, so I  had tea. Isn't this cup & saucer lovely?   This is such a special place!

See how lovely it is?  Click on the picture to enlarge it if you please!  I ordered a spinach, bacon & strawberry salad.  And lots of hot tea!

We were almost home today when I spotted a neighbor's yard sale sign.  I bought, I think...5 of these wonderful doileys'  (25 cents each!!)   and I think this one looks just right on the wicker chest we bought at another yard sale this summer for only $4.  It is missing a couple of pieces of wicker, but I like it anyway...and it is holding a bunch of winter sweaters....which pleases me enormously.

My closet shelves were crammed with sweaters.  I don't know if they made me feel like frowning at them stuffed up there (yes, yes and yes)  or if maybe they were frowning at being so crowded....well,  if that were possible.  And if it were....well,  I'd be out of here very fast...lol.

Happy Sunday to you....'....happy is the people whose God is the LORD' Psalm 144:15b

Pretty things! I just posted in reply to the other post about space. Interesting.

Oh, I just love those flowers...we call them Moss Roses, and my husband has had a big flower pot full of them for probably 3 years running now. In fact, the pot is crumbling (cheap ceramics these days), but I don't want to disturb the flowers to re-pot them. I gather seed from these flowers and start more pots all the time, but have never tried growing them directly in a flower bed. I must try that next year as yours look terrific !

Those flowers are a favorite of mine, too. Very old fashioned. I remember my aunt having those years and years ago.

What an enjoyable post. Your portulaca is so colorful and makes me smile! The tea room is lovely and the cup and saucer so pretty. Do you have a favorite tea? The salad you described sounds very tasty. The doily and wicker chest are perfect together. Hope you enjoy this day! Thank you for your kind comment on my blog.
