There is nothing better, (in my little opinion) than fresh fruit with a dab of Cool Whip.  Low cal and luscious!

More yummy.....blueberry yogurt and Cool Whip of course, with lots of fresh blueberries mixed in.  How I will miss blueberries when their season is over.

The pc always picks a picture by itself when I'm selecting what I want...and here is its choice today.  Kind of funny really.  What a brain.

This is a recent yard sale find.  Cute. But would someone please explain to me how a sheep helps spell 'smile'.

This vintage photo so impressed me. They are holding hands!  Love it. They both have watch fobs on and their clothes are able to be seen pretty well for detail. And look at the ornate copper frame...I found that interesting too.  We were at an auction house and I picked up a box of several vintage photos and their frames & folders  in parts and pieces.  (for $8.00)   My  husband thought I was nuts but I say...I found a treasure!  so I do. =)

This is a picture of half of a frame...tooled leather on the other side. Isn't the detail and embossing wonderful... The other photos were not in good condition at all.  Barely visible really. I took one apart...and found the picture was transferred right onto the glass or whatever it was.  When I tried to gently wipe it....to hopefully make the image plainer,  the girl's sleeve wiped off and was gone.  Forever. Not the above couple though.  For some reason their photo held up well.  I need to youtube this and read up on how their photography worked.

We have been yard-sale-ing like crazy....and every time I think naaa...we have enough...but when hubby offers....I jump in the truck and off we go.  I thought we would be going to a day-lily fair today, but we ended up going the opposite direction to a giant flea market.  Hubby's truck almost let us down and I am sooo thankful to be home, in that regard.

"Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, ....lovely....of good report....if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4, verse 8.   I can't help but think...God alone is  pure, lovely, virtuous,  I should be thinking on Him more and more as the days swiftly spend themselves.  And are gone.

I love old pictures and such! Love fresh fruit as well. I was able to get some blueberries fairly cheaply and Jack and I sat and ate them last night.

The sheep is very sweet! I adore the photo of the couple - do you ever visit Connie at Old Forgotten Photos blog? I think you would really enjoy it and she has a lot of knowledge of old pics. Your fruit looks so good with Cool Whip. I froze some blueberries to add to muffins later. They have been so flavorful this summer.
Thanks for commenting on my late mom's china. It is Wembley by Harmony House and was sold by Sears back @ 1950. I treasure it and the memories created with it.

I don't think I've seen all that many daguerreotypes, but the hand holding seems like a stnd out to me. Nice photo. There's so much interesting stuff to find at fleamarkets. And it's extra fun in summer! Glad the old truck made it!

Beautiful photos and post! I love the way the shape of the sheep's body as it rests against his legs form the letter m - a very fat m!

How did I get so far behind with you!!!? I am so sorry! I can account for the week and a half after my surgery, but the rest....Anyway, this has always been one of my favorite scriptures. Thank you so much for posting it. I love all your wonderful yard sale finds! The tooled leather of the frame is fascinating!

Oh I would have had to snag that photograph, too. It tells a story of its very own. Did you see the photograph I bought at the flea market one day? (I've actually gathered a fair number.)

Thank you for your visit. Hope that you will wend your way back one day...
