I bought this little lady for my Mom years ago when I was her secret 'sister'.  I still like this folk-angel...and her little star.

My hubby keeps me in fresh flowers all the time....this one is in the arranging stage, in the hobnail vase from Smith Glass.  Smith Glass factory is closed now and that is sad.  I used to love going there for new treasures.

This wonderful print is really a jigsaw puzzle glued together.  I searched high and low for the print on the 'net' but couldn't find it. Its a sweet Mother/daughter picture isn't it.  Throw in the love of reading and you have something extra special!

The pc picked this picture out for me..gratis you might say.  I did this cross-stitch years ago while watching 'Christy'.  I so loved the old-fashioned look of it.  Makes me want to cross-stitch again, just to see it pictured here.

Time for a rest....bring on the books! The one I'm reading just now...in addition to 'Flyboys'...is  'Wonderland Creek' by Lynn Austin.   I will make  sure the infra-red heater is blowing its steady warmth on my legs just in case I feel a draft. And a cup of tea sounds nice...just plain decaf...and no sugar.  I really need to break away from sugar.  And my Splenda!  Maybe my new Splenda will be reading..that few minutes extra of reading would be very enjoyable to me.  Every time I want a sweet anything...take a 10 minute reading rest. Sounds good, what do you think...

*a note to self

Don't just think of  negatives ...but focus on God!  'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.'

Trust ye in the LORD for ever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength....Isaiah 26:3,4 Amen!

What a wonderful hubby to keep you in fresh flowers.
I would have never guessed that print was a puzzle, it is time for me to get a new puzzle to work on.
I will see if the library has your books so I can read them.

Oh, Maggie Ann, what a truly lovely home you have! What wonderful treasures, many with a warm old-fashioned touch. Love the fresh flowers! What a thoughtful hubby! And, thanks for your very sweet comments on my post about the mailboxes. You are always so thoughtful.

You still have message verification. You have to go back to the old setup for blogger by clicking on the cog symbol on one of the background pages and that will put you back into the old format. Then under settings you can change to NO message verification. It isn't an option under the new format. You can go back to the new format after this is done if you still want to.

I just noticed your second comment on my post. Yes, my husband surprised me with the loom many years ago. It is an 1840's museum quality loom, and I adore it! But, I have never lived anywhere where I could set it up, and that breaks my heart. I would love to try to use it too. Well, maybe I can one of these days. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. God bless you and your family!

Comforting pictures. I like the scatter smiles. I may need to try that! :-)

I am catching up on your recent posts and so enjoying them! You have a gift for gently wrapping your reader in and making us feel a part of the special moments you create. And how lovely are the images you include! (Both photographs as well as the clip art.). Thanks for your willingness, and praise God for the style which he's given you, to share insight into your world. You bless my heart, sweet friend!

I love your sampler! Christy was such a great show. Thanks for stopping by my blog and there are more of the quilt barn squares from across the country in my quilt blog (links on the side bar) Maybe your friend's son did some of the ones I have seen! I love looking for them.

I like your idea about Splenda! HA! I always appreciate your book recommendations. Every book I've read based on your recommendation, I have loved! Wish I had more time to read. I am trying to make more time by using those little minutes. Have a great day!

I didn't realize I had word verification either until someone pointed it out to me, then I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it, and two blogger friends came to the rescue! Thanks for your comment on my post. Hope your weekend was filled with blessings!
