We have the tree up and decorated, (thank you dear husband), and everything is coming along very well. I dreaded dealing with all those boxes from shelves and attic, but it is done now. And the things that seemed burdensome, now are being enjoyed once again.

Every week seems to fly by, or is it just me thinking they do? I want to read a Christmas novel this Christmastime. Perhaps 'The Substitute Guest' by Grace Livingston Hill's. And perhaps 'No Holly for Miss Quinn'. A favorite too... Its about some ladies giving a needy family a helping hand. Something of course they resented at first, but love wins out.

Where would we be without the love of God! Love is so unselfish, and all the things I want to be, and am not.

I enjoyed knitting again this week and got out to my knitting group for fun and inspiration. It does me good to go have some 'girl time'. I spent the evening wrapping gifts. Once upon a time, I loved to do that. Now this Nana just hangs in there, hoping to get it done. No ribbons now...or hardly any. lol. Hope you are having a good week. I can imagine there are lots of you baking all kinds of good things. Getting ready for Christmas. Another opportunity, to stop and thank God for his precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. That one who came as a babe, but grew up to go to Calvary to pay for our sins. I've always loved this verse...

'Come now, let us reason together, saith the LORD; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.' Isaiah 1:18

Here is something I read today that made me smile, no it didn't... it made me laugh! Love this...

Snowball by Shel Silverstien

I made myself a snowball....as perfect as could be,

I thought I'd keep it as a pet....and let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajames...and a pillow for its head.

Then last night it ran away....but first....it wet the bed!

Funny! For that bit of humor I might even forgive him for writing for Playboy!

Weird, Norton kept flashing an unsafe site for you. I had to keep trying a lot to get in.

Hope you are enjoying setting up for Christmas. We will be much delayed this year!

I am horrible at wrapping so I can sympathize! :-) Loved the Shel Silverstein poem. Read it to our grandson who is here visiting tonight. I know you are enjoying getting decorated for Christmas! God bless you and your family this Christmas!

Thanks for your comments on my blog, too!
