Home sweet home, is there anywhere like it on earth? Nope...smile. We just got back from a quick trip to the grocery store. How many times we walk in and I say how glad I am to be back home.

Today just flew by. First I spent time preparing our Sunday School lesson. Our unit this time has been on prayer, and how I've loved these truths from God's word. Then, after that I finished 'plying' my handspun wool. A dark gray Shetland with deep blue mohair blended in. All this, and sunshine too!

Did you know that 'Michaels' Craft store has their calendars on sale for 50 cents each? And, 'Borders' has their calendars on sale for $1.00 each, including the boxed ones. I got the Origami calendar, which gives you an Origami pattern a day for the entire year. Also we bought the KJV verse a day one plus a few others. My husband & I spend part of our day doing the 'Jumble' and 'Sudoku' puzzles. He has gotten quite good at solving my 'Jumble' puzzles but I don't even try his 'Sudoku' puzzles. Well, time to close and take a quick look at how the Olympics are going.

The following hymn is..'I've Found a Friend' by James Small and George Stebbins. To my heart, there is nothing like the old sweet hymns. They move my heart with their great truths! goodnight, and thanks for coming by!

I've found a friend, oh, such a Friend! He loved me ere I knew Him; He drew me with the cords of love, And thus He bound me to him. And round my heart still closely twine, Those ties which naught can sever, For I am His, and He is mine, Forever and forever.

I've found a friend, oh, such a friend! So kind, and true, and tender. So wise a counsellor and Guide, So mighty a defender! From Him who loves me now so well, What pow'r my soul can sever? Shall life or death, or earth or hell? No; I am His forever."

G'morn, Maggie ~ I love that song, TY for sharing! DHs Mother used to sing it, she was always singing to Him.

Sweetie, the write is not of my family but at the bottom it shares Michael Gartner, Pulitzer Prise writer ... he wrote of his family. I could never share such beauty of my dad, only my Mother.

Have a beautiful week.
Hugs, Marydon

Oh, I should check out the calenders at Borders ~ I love a bargain! And I love Sudoku puzzles... and cryptograms too. I don't do too well with crossword puzzles, probably because I'm a terrible speller.

A joy visiting with you this evening!
Kindly, ldh

Everynight I thank the sweet Father in Heaven (or I mean to) that I can lie down in my own bed once more !

Wish I could hear the tune to that song......the words are great !

Your blue cupboard is so lovely! The Bee Skep honey pot, the little chicken on the can, the sweet plates. We sure do like the same things. Have you seen "A trip to Bountiful" There is the most lovely hymn at the end, I think its called "Quietly, Tenderly"
or "Come Home." Its a beautiful hymn.

Love your sentence on home--there is nothing like it, as you say, walking in the door. Glad you got the Pilgrim's Inn. You'll probably finish it before I do--short on time right now, but I totally remember where I left off, she just is such a good writer!
