We are getting ready for Easter. Time to go visit my sister and take her a gift or two as we celebrate our Risen Saviour. I'm looking forward to visiting my sister and to the Baptismal service Sunday. I finished the kitchen's spring cleaning yesterday...so that's nice to have behind me. Only 4 more rooms to go plus the bathroom. It really doesn't take that long to wipe the walls down I found.

I made an old family recipe for supper.I don't know whatever brought it to mind. You melt oleo and dip thawed chicken pieces in it..& crush corn flakes and then press the chicken pieces in that. Put them on a foil lined 13x9 pan and bake uncovered for an hour (you can dribble the left over oleo on tops)....I only had the oven temp at 315 degrees because I was really a little early with my preparation...(shock) usually I'm a little late! I paired the chicken with coleslaw and it was a hit with my honey. Peach pie was dessert...yum.

I had a 'working' Mom and I don't know how many times I would come home from school and find a note (I think) telling me to start that chicken for supper. Oh, those golden? school days. To think gov'mt wants the kids to go to school 6 days a week...say it ain't so Joe! Must it be??

I had a working mom, too. She was the queen of all things convenient, though, so I coated the chicken and pork chops with 'Shake 'n Bake'.

Easter blessings to you and your family!

Your posted image is adorable and your chicken sounds wonderfully delicious.

Regrettably, I've never had a sister. Although, God has seen fit to give me a daughter who is very much like a sister might have been.

To think gov'mt wants the kids to go to school 6 days a week...say it ain't so Joe!Oh NO! And then they want to cut the work week down to 4 days. But wouldn't that be less tax dollars for the government?

Hope your Easter was blessed.

Hello Maggie. Sounds like your Easter was quite enjoyable as you celebrated with your family. I always think of Easter as THE true, Christian holiday. It's wonderful to be a Christian, isn't it? Hope the rest of April brings you many good blessings!
