This hyacinth was my Mom's and here it is blooming in the loveliest shades of purple and blues. How much I love color...the depth and intensity. The shadings, and sometimes the fragrance all speak, don't they? All nature points to its creator. We had such a feast for the soul yesterday. The sermons were precious. One was taken from the book of Philemon. This little letter that the Apostle Paul wrote...now called Philemon..just 25 verses. But! This little letter...carefully written, resulted in the fate of a man's life. What a friend we have in those who love our soul! ~~~ "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered." Romans chapter 4, verse 7.

Our forsythia is in full bloom. I should bring a bouquet inside. Its the special little touches that turn an ordinary day into a light hearted day sometimes.

There is something so uplifting about the cheerful yellow daffodils. Like sunshine, you know.

Spring is trying to make an appearance here but we still have lots of dirty snow. I love the fragrance of hyacinths, and the pretty colours! They never bloom here, though (just the little grape hyacinths, muscari, but they are so sweet!).

I "won" an old copy of "A Girl of the Limberlost" the day before yesterday on e-Bay. Yay! I read a bit on the Gutenburg site and just loved it. But I want to read it all... in book form now. I "won" the video of it, too. I'd seen it before and liked it but I understand it strayed from the story in important areas. Still, it seems like it might be nice for my grandchildren to watch.

Enjoy your spring flowers!

Your spring flowers bring joy to me. We don't have one speck of green yet! It's been snowing ... but thankfully not sticking around last week and this week. I think I need some more 'happy juice' :) ... and a good soak in the sunshine right about now.
