Since you asked to see my Hubby's Valenine with my face glued on instead of the cupid's face, here it is....ONLY this isn't my face =)..I like to remain anonomyous online..so, I borrowed a magazine clipping to illustrate what I'd done on his card. It was great fun to make and we both had a laugh from it. Yes, he really did get me a second bouquet of roses for Valentine's day. The second ones were easier on his wallet though...they came from Aldi's store this time. You know I had the hardest time throwing out that long white florist's box the first dozen roses came in. It was the first time in my life I'd ever seen roses in a florist box except on tv or in a novel. How very special! From time to time it triggers memories of reading 'Crimison Roses' by Grace L. Hill. You know, the story where every time the girl goes to the symphony there is a long stemmed red rose on her seat, and she doesn't know who it is from? Maybe its time to read that sweet story again.

"God be with you till we meet again;...'Neath his wings protecting hide you, Daily manna still provide you....God be with you till we meet again. Till we meet,...till we meet....Tell we meet at Jesus' feet;.....from the hymn 'God Be with You'. JE.Rankin

What a great post. Your card and recollection of this past Valentines Day is so warm. Making cards is a nice way to personalize a message to a friend or family member.

I read that your plant clippings are rooting well. You know, I have a link on my Thrifty Garden/Home blog for how to make free garden gadgets, including little starting pots from newspaper. (No/Low Cost Garden tools). Later today, I'm going to start my tomato plants from seed into little pots made from empty toilet paper rolls. I'll try to post a picture. Blessings to you this almost end of winter day.

A lovely little post, Maggie Ann! Valentine's Day is sooo romantic, isn't it? Thanks for your comment on my blog - I marvel at people who can grow African violets from a cutting. I can't grow African violets. Like Mrs. Mac, I'm planning to start my tomato plants along with some more forget-me-nots sometime this weekend. Oh spring - won't you please come quickly this year?!

I ABSOLUTELY love the story Crimson Roses. It was nice to see the reference on your blog.

Yes, it would have been nice to see your face online, but I love how you stay anonymous online. I do, too, and I think it's important.

Hi Maggie Ann, I will try to post pictures of the tomato seed project later. You mentioned wanting to grow potatoes ... in my sidebar under 'container gardens' there is a project to grow them upright in old tires ;) ... I may give it a try this summer. Thanks for stopping by.
