Oh happy me! I was able all by my little self....grin, to re-download and run Java and the Adobe flash player. So, I have been watching Avonlea episodes on Youtube...this afternoon. My troubles are over....on this pc for the moment. What a very nice feeling...which goes hand in hand with having everything uninstalled and re-installed. It seems like a perfectly wonderful afternoon now.

I copied this gem from someone's blog a good while ago. I'm sorry I don't remember whose! I have a file folder here at my feet that I put my 'gems' in as I blog. Here is a jewel...if it's yours, thank you for sharing it. Anyone claiming it?...=)

"Our Blessings Jar is here to make sure none of us ever forgets the countless blessings life grants us. Just write down the things you are truly thankful for, put them in the jar, and remember to count them everyday!"

"You'll find your blessings, they will mount
With every day you do this count.
Write down the joys you know you've got
And place them in this humble pot.
Re-read them when you need a lift
And reflect upon these precious gifts.
You'll find that as the days go by
You'll see your blessings multiply."

Hello dear Maggie Ann! Thank you for your comment on my blog. I do hope that your foot is much better by now. I haven't been blogging much either. I've been underneath it all with two teeth pulled - lots of pain and swelling. Argh. Anne of Green Gables is our absolute favorite movie! Recently, we were able to watch a BBC production of Robin Hood. It was wonderful! Long, but wonderful. Very clean and very enjoyable. Even the man of our house liked it! I have sprouted some Forget-Me-Nots in a tiny litle pot on my windowsill. 'Tis a bright spot in the middle of winter. Take good care my blogger friend! PS - Do you like the exercise wii?

Did you get a new steamed cake recipe yet? That was a funny story about your 'baking/steaming' adventure a few posts back. I remember making a Boston brown bread in a can once ... it may have sat in a pan of water while baking in the oven ... my memory fails me. Every once in a while a humorous baking/cooking episode happens to everyone.

I seriously enjoy drawings like this. They're so rich and vintage.

Counting our blessings. What a great reminder to be grateful for what we have instead murmuring over what we don't. I'm reminded the Word of God instructs us to give thanks IN all things, not FOR all things because God is in control and moving behind the scenes to weave all things to the good. That 'good' being by His definition of good and not ours. I always find that God gives me better than I would have given myself. By my releasing what's in my hand by my choice, it's then open and free to receive what He would rather place there.

Yes, that was the book - A Girl of the Limberlost. Thank you.
