Happy Sunday, everyone! I spent the day in the kitchen cooking. I made the sausage and kale soup recipe from someone's blog. I forgot whose! Its a bit salty but we do like it, and will make it again sometime =). The weather took a turn for the worse here and there was an ice storm about an hour from us. Brrr.. A good day for cooking in the kitchen, and staying cozy inside.

Tomorrow starts our Christmas music at church with a chime choir with the little children. What a joy to watch their concentration and joy as they ring their color coded bells when their leader holds up the matching color cards.

"Serve the LORD with gladness; come before his presence with singing." Psalms 100:2 I think this verse expresses it perfectly!

No snow here. It is about 52 now at a little past noon on Sunday!!
Mike has had the flu this weekend so it has not been one of the best weekends in a while.
I am going over to my daughters to sit with my grands while she is out for a couple of hours...
Hopefully you are warmer today...I like snow but boy I do not miss it at all...

Snow is lovely to look at when you can stay home. Look out and feel sorry for the people that have to work. In the village most of the village can stay home. They seam to all think getting out when it snows is a fun thing to do.

Hi! Maggie
Nice to meet you. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
It certainly is fantastic to be a new Grandma. Awesome in fact.

Was the recipe from Rhonda at Down to Earth? I remember reading that her hubby has an annual kale-fest. I'm German and I like it, too but my hubby will not eat it. My Dad loved kale and sausage soup.

I will write to you soon. I started, but it got too long and more stuff has happened since I wrote. Soon, I hope...

we've had snow and cold here ... brrrrr ...

i love Christmas chimes ... leo and i were just talking about them the other day ... the first time we experience chimes was in a church in AZ ... :o)

my aunt & i didn't find much at the midnight madness sales ... iin fact, the town was quiet and it seemed like many stayed home ... we did enjoy each others company and just walking around the festive streets (well 2 streets makes it plural, right! *chuckle*) ...

blessings on your week!

I do hope that you are not smacked with an ice storm. Be safe in the storm and stay near home. You were a busy bee in the kitchen making soup. I would love to hear your church's children's music program.

Christmas chimes are so beautiful. When we go to Christmas Eve service with my husband's aunt, they always have children playing their handbells. They always do such a wonderful job.

Sounds so lovely! Its such a nice time to of year to really cherish time at home, isn't it?

No snow here, but the chill is enough to keep me near the wood stove!

Christmas blessings,
