I love this painting by 'Grandma Moses'. I have this print hanging at the foot of the steps going to our family room. For many years it hung above the piano. We also have the 'Checkerboard House'. Grandma Moses is such an inspiration to me. For her, life was as interesting in her later years as it was in her younger years. I have two books about her that lift my spirits everytime I enjoy them. If you have a minute I hope you'll visit the link...its just a little one but tells about her life. What a special lady!

her paintings and life do give us "older gals" a lift! :o)

and i also loved the pic of your grandson's arm, compared to your hubby's ... and to think that they do grow up so quickly!

I took a little 'field trip' to visit and learn more about Grandma Moses. Thanks for sharing your interest and the website info. Her work is very inspiring and dear to my heart ... simplistic and all ... great pic of tiny one and grandpa arm in arm.

I saw you wanted to make a new ironing board cover. Thought you might like this post from a blog I read.

I'd like to do her paintings in a cross stitch and then make a pillow out of it.

I have loved Grandma Moses work as long as I can remember and have also looked many times at work of Will Moses also (grandson?). I would love to get a print one day as here is so much warmth in her work.
