Here is my small contribution to the Blog-a-thon, which is to post any books we have and love about 'teatime'. I do have one other book by Patsy Claimont that is very special but Blogger is giving me trouble posting.~~~ Mary's delightful book gives recipes for tea sandwiches and fancy butters with edible flowers, wedding table directions and quotes and so on.
I will always be a Mary Engelbreit fan. She is so cheerful...I love her things. Her delightful book is one I'm glad to have on my bookshelf and have used it in decorating my kitchen propped amonst my teapots. Here is a recipe for Madeleines Aux Citron from '
Victoria' that I want to make for my tea time.

I have that same book and just love it. I really like your blog.
I also found Mary's book very delightful. (And Tea With Patsy Clairmont as well.)
Hello Maggie Ann, it's nice to meet you. I've seen Mary's book on several of the blogs I've dropped by this evening...I may have to put her on my list to get :). What a wonderful blog home you have, I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for dropping by to visit me.
Have a wonderful evening!
Kathi :)
M.E. is always a delight! Did I mention before how much I like your blog header? It is fabulous. Enjoy your tea times. I'm headed back to check out the recipe...
You listed two of my favorite books!
Oh, Mary Engelbreit is wonderful, and this book looks charming. On her web site for Home Companion she has podcasts now, which are interviews with the people that she features in her magazine. The cover of your book looks so wonderful. I have lots of her books, but I never saw this one. Blessings, Karen
Another vote for Mary's book also Patsy Clairmont's. I think that when this many people are speaking of those books, they must be good ones. I think that a shopping trip to Amazon is in my future.
I like ME a lot. I'll have to find that book. I enjoy her tea-related art a lot, but I missed the books, and it seems I'm missing something fun.
what a beautiful blog, I enjoyed my visit with you very much
Love Mary's work too! You have a delightful blog! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Maggie Ann ... Such a time I've had trying to leave a comment (sigh).
Your previous post about the wheat prices is just the beginning of a ripple. We've been baking our bread for a while now due to cost ... and it's just better tasting ... currently I'm experimenting with sour dough starter (yummy).
I'll have to see if I have any books relating to tea time.
I love the Mary Engelbreit book. . .and have a copy of my own. It's so cheerful and inspiring! Thank you for being a part of the Gracious Hospitality blog-a-thon. I hope you are having as much fun as I am!
