The weather is soooo cold lately. The little dog in this picture reminds me that I once read that people used to keep lap dogs as pets to help keep them warm. When we were kids, our boxer dog would sometimes sleep on top of the covers at night. I would have been about 11 years old then with twin brothers that were 1 year old. Well, its time to call it a day. I'm looking forward to knitting in the morning. What a blessing to have the Lord to rest in. All the sad and worrisome things in the news, reminds me what a constant source of peace and truth He is in this world, to those who receive Him as Saviour.

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:8&9. Pray to Jesus Christ alone, he is our mediator...He alone has power to save.

"Jesus saith....I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Hi Maggie Ann ... I saw you dropped by this evening ;) ... It's been very cold here too (near zero degrees F) at night and not much warmer during the daytime, burrrrrrrr! I walked to the mailbox today with Nathan and my eyes ached which triggered a headache ... and my fingertips were frozen. The mail hadn't even come yet! He was anxious to receive a movie from Netflix ;)

The joys of indoor things like knitting and other crafts just seem a little more joyeous in the winter don't they? I don't like the cold but I love the coziness of a warm home.

Knitting - working with our hands is so rewarding.

you shared,

So true. We need no other; no co-redeemer. Christ alone.

also,

You know, only the Holy Spirit can super naturally witness that to our hearts. The world and empty religions can only know about Him but they can never know Him intimately as His children can. When these troubles, you mention, surround us, there is little else that will restrain them from invading our lives except the Holy Spirit. Bless God for His restraining Grace.
