When I come to the end of a busy day like today, I'm just too tired to concentrate on knitting or needlework! Our Christmas tree is all aglow with multi-colored lights (I like trees in white too, but colors I love best). It was fun putting on all the ornaments. Lots of red glass balls and toward the top of the tree tiny birds and balls, and icicles. No tinsel yet and maybe not at all. Its seems perfect like it is. Yo Yo Ma kept me company by way of CD....=).
When you have company coming even though its family, you want things to be special...and I'm discovering dust and cobwebs lurking around that I didn't know I'd invited! grin. So, I'm trying to make each day count in good ways.
We bought a small air-hockey table and hubby and I have fun playing a few games now and then. I laugh my head off while he raises his eyebrows and zings me with another win. I love to have fun with him.....simple things bring such pleasure don't they.
We have gotten lots of Christmas cards this year....and one of the men in our church family wrote on his card....'Thank God for His great love!' oh how true! and how precious! Faith in Jesus Christ alone will bring salvation rich and free. He paid for our sins in his own body on the tree. Jesus, My Saviour!
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

I love colored lights the best too. We were out last night and saw so many houses decorated!! Most people use the white lights!! Glad that you are all decorated and about ready!! We are getting rain here today!! Nasty stay inside day.

I like the white lights. But they're all pretty. I love the kids on the card.

I know that weariness in the too tired to cross stitch mode. I end up just being a veggie beside my hubby on the love seat for a bit before concluding I just need to go to bed.

Here is it pre-Christmas Eve and we have hardly any cards to show for it. I think 5 in all and one of that was from a business. Buh humbug! *wink*

you shared,

I wonder if salvation is totally free though. It cost Jesus a great deal of suffering before taking His life. It cost us dying to self. Ah but yes, free in the sense that anyone can claim it because God is no respecter of persons. And nothing we can do could ever earn that salvation either before or after we come to God.

May you have a most blessed Christmas!!

Just had to take a moment in the busy pre-Christmas rush to come by and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
