We had a cozy Thanksgiving, a roasted turkey and all the trimmings, complete with cherry & pumpkin pie for desert. We read Psalm 100 before the meal at the table. The word of God is an anchor and a blessing. I've gotten some knitting done this weekend and some baking too. I enjoyed reading and and had a great time shopping the Good Wills in our area. I also got all the Christmas gifts wrapped (hurray!!!) I came home with a wonderful Martha Stewart hardcover Christmas book and a Gooseberry Patch? book I just love. Its filled with crafts to make and recipes. The books were about $1.60 each. I'm smiling to think of it!

Church was a blessing today, as it always is. Freedom....what a priceless heritage and won at what a cost. Freedom to worship God openly and without censorship. I am truly grateful. Its late so offline I go, I just wanted to say hello to you! Life has just been so busy here lately. Not much time for the blog, but I'll get caught up eventually.

"And the Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honor." The book of Esther, chapter 8 verse 16. I loved this wonderful statement when I read it in my devotions. That's how our hearts can be lifted and lightened when we come before the Lord. In the sermon tonight, when Nehemiah came before the King with his request, his face was sad. Ordinarily sad countenances were not tolerated before royalty according to the footnote in my Ryrie Study Bible, King James Version always. But the King granted his hearts desire, just the way our King grants our hearts desires, within his will. I want the light, and gladness, and joy, and honor that only living for Jesus will give me, and I have it for I have Him. Wishing you blessings!

Blessings to you, too. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at our daughter's house this year.

I hope you'll show some pictures of any crafting you do from your new books. I just bought twin boy and girl "bath and wet" dolls for myself yesterday. I'm working out an easy doll sweater pattern which I hope to share on my blog soon. (I just started up blogging again.)

Amen! And yet the threat of censorship dawns on the horizon for bible believing faith based churches. Somehow to speak certain of our salvation is considered arrogant, intolerant, and oppressive. The casualty of the postmodern mindset is our once proclaimed certain knowledge of biblical truth and authority of Scripture.

1 Corinthians 2:12-13 (KJV)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Not much time for blogging here either. Hopefully, I'll have time to pop by and visit more. God bless you!

Your Thanksgiving dinner sounded very lovely. We ate out and although it was nice not having to cook or clean up, next year I'm hoping to cook at home ... We have had about a foot of snow over the last week and our area looks like a winter wonderland from a country magazine :) Maybe soon I will get back into blogging ... out of ideas and time of late.
