Real life! An apple pie and an apple tart. My pastry roll-out sheet standing clean and tall...drying. My picture album/cookbook filled with favorite recipes under the plastic. Of course, the Micheal's ad...don't you just love those sales and coupons? I do. And, of course the remains of the paper...not everyone is done reading it yet. As if we ever are! How anyone can be expected to read that much on Sunday! ...or any one day? Impossible for me...but I do pull those coupons. I just got the kitchen all prettied up and Chicken Cacciatore is simmering in the crock pot for supper. I also made a pan of pumpkin gingerbread....oh so good. Anything with cloves in the ingredient list gets my full attention! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall day. Rain is on the way. It will be a while before I knit anything from my spinning...have to spin and ply enough yarn first. Its very enjoyable though but it seems like there are a million other things to do and that must be done first. I feel like Cinderella looking down the well, singing ...."I'm wishing...da, da, da, da,da.....can't remember the words, can you tell? grin. Bye for now.

"The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." Psalm 145:18

You did well! And I made 2 Apple Pies on Sunday too. :-)

And I hope your new Victoria magazine was in your mail box today. As mine was! :-)

I made apple fritters for the first time today. I guess we all have apples on the mind (and in the kitchen).

Well, I'll be ... everyone has apples to bake into something delish! Your pie looks like I need to come over and have a piece with you :) With tea of course! On Sunday, I went to some local apple farms and bought bags full. Made some pie filling to freeze which makes for an easy pie when company stops by. Today I hope to dry a batch dipped first in cinnamon. Have a nice day staying dry from the rain. We have rain as well.

Hi Maggie Ann!
I feel the same way as you-always so many haft-toos before I can do the really fun stuff!
Loved hearing about your day--so inspiring!
I'm getting my Sunday School lesson planned out and will prepare the craft tomorrow. May have to stop at good ol'
Walmart to pick up some supplies on the way home from Bible study this evening.
We may get a little bit weary sometimes, but there is something so comforting about the routines of life.
God is so good to us!
Love ya, my friend! Claudia O

I DO clip those coupons too but especially for Jo-Ann Fabrics.

It must be something about the cold weather that brings out domestic baking in some people. I know it works that way for me.

I would love your recipe for Chicken Cacciatore, please.

"...but it seems like there are a million other things to do and that must be done first."

Isn't that the way of it. *sigh* That's why we need to 'make' time to do those pleasant tasks/hobbies.

I've been thinking about your sister in-law and praying for her. Asking for a full and quick recovery. And that Jesus would make a way for her to know Him.
