This is the settee I told your we got on clearance for under $50. The two chairs are in storage just now...smile. I am using an old quilt as you can see for the valance and am making the seat cushion cover out of it too. (phooey, I see its crooked...I'll fix that soon..) At the foot of the bed, with its white bedspread...is the other half of this well loved & used quilt...as a throw for those chilly days ahead. Ollie's also have their chaise lounge cushions on sale for 75% off. We got some of those for about $6.00 apiece and I cut up one for the cushion for the settee and chairs. Oh happy solutions! And at such a price. I couldn't have bought the foam for that price. The wonderful linen with the cutwork is one Amy gave me from her Grandmother's collection. It is exquisite! How this little table/footstool shows it off to perfection. I love cozy...& I whisk the table out of the way, spread my music out on the settee, and practise my cello here almost every day.
A peek into a book from my bookshelves..... "They lived on bacon and eggs, cold cuts, bread and coffee. Gilly had always wanted to cook, but this stove frightened her. Every time she lit it she expected to be blown through the ceiling."....... excerpt from "Laughter in Our House" by Bianca Bradbury.
A teens book but one I picked up long ago at a library sale and enjoyed. btw, thats how I used to feel about lighting the pilot light on our gas stove when I was in my 20's....ooooooh how long ago that was. Like Mum always told me though...'I'm still young inside...its just my outside that has changed!'.
"The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet." Proverbs 27:7 Adversity teaches us the value of good things, good times. All glory to Him who gives us the bread of life.

What a beatiful sitting area you've created. Lovely. I'm off to the goodwill store and Ollie's for a little shopping. All on my own. Well until I pick up Lori & Paul. Have a peaceful and blessed evening and Sunday.
