This is the pattern I am just starting to knit. The brown yarn is from spinning Border Leister wool and the white is from the fleece I was given and worked up from scratch. It was a lot of work but a very rewarding process!
Under the weight of the butter knives is the start of the 'stole'. It seems like the yarn is a little too bulky for this pattern though. I'm hoping Marlene will come by and have a 'look' and maybe have some advice for me before I knit on. You can see what I'm up to anyway...smile. Still learning as I go and thankful for any and all help!

I know nothing about knitting but the yarn look like it would be nice for the pattern you have to me. The white is beautiful. You did a wonderful joy on it. connie from Texas

Hey, you really are a knitting kat! That sweater will be beautiful when you are done with it.

I look forward to finishing my children's samplers and starting to knit some sweaters for myself. I have knitted many things, but nothing for me to wear.

rwgfvMissing you ! You do such a beautiful job knitting as with everything you do. I like the white one in the post below and I know the one you are trying now will also be beautiful. Won't it be a satifaction when it's done to know that you made it from start to finish, beginning with the sheep. :-)..... Little Maggie said to the sheep, "Thank you for my nice warm sweater" Sheep answered "Don't thank me, thank the farmer that sheared my wool" The farmer said "Don't thank me, thank the grass which fed the sheep, so I could shear the sheep so you could make a nice warm sweater" The grass said "Don't thank me thank the rain which made me to grow so I could feed the sheep that the farmwer sheared, so you could make a nice warm sweater. "Thank you rain" said little Maggie, " thank you for raining to make the grass to grow so it would feed the sheep, so the farmer could shear the sheep, so I could have a nice warm sweater. The rain said "Don't thank me thank the Lord above who made me rain so the grass would grow so the sheep would have wool for the farmer to shear so you could have a nice warm sweater. Little Maggie looked up to the sky above and said Thank you Lord, thank you for my nice warm sweater." :-) you know ...gramma_s
