Guess what I've been doing? Using my carder to straighten the wool locks I have washed. I have a nice pile of them here rolled up and ready to spin. I really love spinning with this fleece..which is now called batting..or roving? (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about anything..this is all new to me pretty much.) Yesterday morning I spent under a tree in the shade....going through my soiled fleece, picking out locks to wash, and in the afternoon I washed and washed...untill my back said...enough! I've had lots of encouragement lately, which has given me a second wind...=). Then after all that work, a good part of the evening was spend playing horseshoes with DH & Son out by the apple trees in the shade. I LOVE to play horseshoes and we have some nice heavy rubber ones, that don't try to pull my arms out of thier sockets! What have you been up to today? Today I went to our local quilt show with 2 very dear Christian sisters. Then off to lunch at our tea room, which is the 'berries'! I'm just home and going to go shopping now with hubby. We still need small shrubs for our big planters. Talk to you later....thinking of the truth of this word....'the blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich'.

Gosh you have been busy! I wish there were more quilting shows around here but we'd probably have to travel to one of the big cities to see anything like that :-)

Your hard work looks to be paying off in that beautiful wool waiting to be spun. Last night I went to a stamping class ... being new, I get inspired by your collage pictures. Ended up making my mil a b/d card.
