Day is at its close and there is something always peaceful about the close of day. It makes me relax....and want to stay up later and later...reading and tatting and just relaxing. Tomorrow's round of work and joys and troubles will come round quick enough. I spent some time soldering a few jewelry pieces this afternoon..it went better than my try yesterday but I still have to get the clasp soldered on to hang the chains from....what a stressful thing this project turned out to be! BUT, I truly love wearing the one my daughter and I made together. We put tiny pictures of our grandson in them....oh so cute! This little lamp is one a friend had at her yard sale many years ago...homemade I think, but I thought it charming then and still do. I love green depression glass too. Well, I'm about to end my day...with some last minute praying and reading. See you tomorrow...=)
'Hiding in Thee...Ira Sankey/W.Cushing...O Safe to the Rock that is higher than I, My soul in its conflict and sorrows would fly; So sinful so weary, Thine, Thine would I be; Thou Blest "Rock of Ages" I'm hiding in Thee. "Hiding in Thee, Hiding in Thee, Thou Blest "Rock of Ages", I'm hiding in Thee. How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe, I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe; How often, when trials like sea billows roll, Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul." Hiding in Thee, Hiding in Thee, Thou Blest "Rock of Ages", I'm hiding in Thee. It so blesses me when the Holy Spirit gives me a song like this...most every day I have one...He has never left me nor forsaken me since I gave my heart to Jesus Christ my Saviour.

What a cozy picture ... Do you have any special plans for this Memorial Day weekend? Any loved ones that are to be honored for their sacrifice to our country? Have a peaceful rest tonight!

Lovely entry.

Lovely lamp and shade. Oh I so love that shade. Wondering, did your friend make the shade? Or did you? Oh sigh, I love it!!

I have the perfect little lamp and shade for such. But I'm afraid to try to make such. -sigh-

You little spot looks so peaceful a perfect place to do the things you mentioned. To end by talking to the Lord after listening to what He had to say to you through His Word. Good night. Happy weekend. connie from Texas
