~~~This is a picture of part of my cozy Saturday evening. I was in the kitchen baking up a batch of Rachel's yummy mint cookies, which has to be the easiest cookie recipe ever! The white cake mix does the trick. What a time saver.
~~~Thanks to everybody who came visiting via my last post and left me a comment =). I so enjoyed your posts as I visited you all on Saturday
. I love blogging...its just a joy to have in my life...honestly.
~~~A quick book review...so far... Well then, my son has stated that I have no business reading a gory book like Crime & Punishment. This, after I forced him to listen to my account of how the drop out college student turns out to be...(prepare yourself....an axe murderer...shudder). Now our criminal is slightly insane...as is proper at this point eh? I am purposely 'skimming' now, reading certain parts and skipping over other content. Currently on page196 and the print is soooo tiny...I rue it.
~~~Something that simply amazes me now; the work of the blessed Holy Spirit in action. Yesterday in church the sermon was about humility. "You either have a humble spirit or pride. We can 'own up' to pride and confess it to God, asking forgiveness and for a proper view of God and self. We want others to 'see' Jesus in us. This morning when I had my daily devotions, guess what the subject was? Humility. Reading the devotional for March 20th-'More Precious Than Silver' Joni Eareckson Tada. "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." Philippians 2:4 ....rejoice my heart, Lord Jesus
~~~"I want to tell the world....whenever I am glad, For happiness unshared...Becomes a little sad." Rebecca McCann.
Hi there! I just wanted to make sure you're aware that your blog is in the queue for the Fiber Arts Bloggers ring, because your ring code is incomplete. I just sent you the code again--please let me know if you don't get it? I'd love to get you back in the ring. :)
A Monday Hello! thank you for your lovely comment about my collage. There wasn't any stamp on the collage just items cut from magazines. The picture of the women is from an old magazine not sure of the name. the background is just a page I tore out of a magazine because I liked the color or the background. Everything else is just stuff I had in my stash! It was one of those collages that just came together without much thinking. I'm not into stamps yet. Do you like them? they seem to be expensive. I have 3 that I got at a Michael's store on clearance. I've been working on finishing up some journals that I started last summer. I hope to post a few pages later tonight! Thanks for visiting my blog! I love the pictures you post on your blog! They are always so homey looking.
Looks like a cozy evening indeed, what a cute display! Being humble, that is such an important challenge. It's not all about me! Now if I could just keep that in my head...
