This is just a small part of our Fiestaware collection. I'm tickled pink to have these cheerful dishs to use every day. My daughter 'won' me the lavender cup on ebay. The rest were bought at the Homer Laughlin factory ...most in thier 'seconds' room. Needless to say, my cup runneth over with Fiestaware...grin. No, I'm not embarrased by this plethora of richs =)....just plain thankful! Isn't the mind amazing. That is the first time in my life I've ever used the word..'plethora' and up it pops...ready to use and with the right definition.

Our revival meetings have been a huge blessing to me this week. God is so wonderful and special!!! How important to learn to put the emphasis on the spiritial life first of all and give matieral things second place. After all, we KNOW this life is temporary and will cease to be for us, but when death comes, our souls will rise to heaven and have eternal life for all those who repent and receive Christ as their own personal Saviour. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

This week I have been on an antibiotic for my abcessed tooth and its made me groggy to say the least. I hope your week has been good. Doesn't time fly by though? I started reading 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Have you read this classic? What did you think of it? I'm only on chapter 3. I was browsing the online classics section of a nearby city library and this one caught my eye with the opening page of the story. So, when we were out and about the other day I stopped in my small local library and looked it up.

What pretty dishes! I hope your tooth is feeling better. I've never tried to tackle Crime & Punishment. Lori & I just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird. That was my first time reading it. Lori had to read it for her English class and she is not the best reader so we read it together out loud which was fun to do. I enjoyed it very much. I cried at the end. Lori didn't! I'm glad you're enjoying your revival meetings. We have snow today. I think spring rolled over and went back to sleep. I'm going to try and get some art done. Have a blessed evening and weekend.

We watched the movie too but I enjoyed the book better. I did like the moment in the movie when Scout sees Boo for the first time. An emotional moment. Cary Grant is my favorite actor!

I came over from your post on my blog. I love the dishes. I had a friend years ago who collected them, too. They are so cheerful. Besides books, pretty dishes are my weakness.

My son has just started reading Crime & Punishment for our homeschool class on Russian Lit. He says it is slow getting into. :)

I've always secretly wished for all the colors of Fiest Ware! It was so cheerful to look at when your blog opened up!

I think I linked over here from Connie's. I have scrolled through your blog and have found it to be delightful! You have a sweet, natural way of writing! God bless!

Oh! Love the Fiestaware so much! I have some, mostly in just green and yellow. Yours truly does look festive! Oh, and wanted to say I loved your hutch/shelves in the above post--so warm and cozy! Thanks for sharing (and hoping your teeth are better today...). Blessings, Debra
