Its puppet time here at our grandson's home. The one on the left he named Harry and the other one is Walter. I often get them mixed up but he corrects me when necessary =). Its sunny skies here and we have a nice pot roast in the crockpot that is one of my daughter's favorite recipes.

Italian Roast Beef

1 1/2 cups water
3 cups beef bouillon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 Tblsp. Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbsp. dried oregano
2 Tbsp. dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes opt.
4 lb chuck roast
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Pour water into a large kettle, and add bouillon cubes. Mix together the salt, garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes on a large plate. Rub roast with 1/2 cup vegetable oil. Roll roast in seasoning mixture untill well coated. Place the roast in the kettle along with any left over seasoning mixture and oil.~~~Bring water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer approx. 3 1/2 hours. Meat should be tender and well done. We made this in the crock pot and it smells delicious! (haven't had supper yet)

We have been watching our daughter's 'Love Comes Softly' movies' and they are really good. Picture me tucked under a quilt with a chocolate tootsie roll lollypop and my grandson instructing me from the bed not to 'eat' that lollypop. "lick it" he instructs me...=).

"Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you". And there is no better care in all the world. All praise to you, dear God.

What a cute picture! Looks like he's a very inventive little guy.

Nothing beats something in the crock pot when I come in after a long day at work!

Hello Knitting Kat!!
Did your daughter get the fourth movie yet? Apparently it is out. I forget the name of it but Walmart will probably have it or Betty will get it from Amazon. She gets a lot of good Chrisian movies there.
Now Maggie-Ann, Don't you dare forget the Hallmark movie that will be on Jan 28th!!
Take care and thanks for visiting me using your daughter's computer!...Love Terry
