What fun to go blog visiting at Christmas time! Seeing your special ornaments and recipes and reading about your memories. And remembering the reason behind the season. How God became flesh and dwelt among us, to take on himself our sin at Calvary so that we who repent and believe on the Son Of God, may be saved from the judgement to come. "I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved." John 10:9a. Saved from hell to heaven, oh glorious truth.

We have not started our Christmas shopping yet, but next week we will and hopefully, bring home our little treasures for under the tree. I would like to read one of Grace Livingson Hill's wonderful Christmas stories this year. They are treasured friends. I haven't read any of her books for about oh my, 6 years or so? Simply because ...as my Mother said, I almost know the stories off by heart I've read them so many times. Its time...I think, to read her again. Maybe "Brentwood" or "The Christmas Bride".

Christmas Shopping..by Rebecca McCann

"Well, since I'm always late with shopping....At last I've thought what to do---This year I'll buy each friend two presents, And label one for next year too."

That is a great idea...buy two and label on for next year...I had not thought about that one. Course you need a place to keep them. We are about done with shopping because we hardly did any. Take care...Sandy

My word, I haven't read Grace Livingston Hill since I was a teen. I loved her back then.

I forgot Grace Livingstone Hill existed! I like her books but once youve read one youve read them all. But they sure do hit a nostalgic chord with me!
