The Lord has blessed me! A local school teacher had extra 'roving' (sheep's wool after it has been cleaned and carded or combed) and was nice enough to sell me some...at a price that was like getting it as a gift. I am so excited to have a pound plus of this 'Borderlester' wool that is soooo soft I can't believe its mine...=) The sheep that produced this are local and I want to do a search on this breed just for the fun and interest of it. Now to renew my 'drop spindle' spinning at which I am such a novice but 'zinging' with enthusiasm. My cello practice must come first though.

I have already had a wonderful devotional time...using my Bible and Joni Eareckson Tada's book.."More Precious Than Silver". She talks about maintaining our identity for Christ in this world. She refers to the book of Ephesians 5:6-8 for these truths. Speaking up is often hard to do , but as necessary as life itself. I just signed an email petition protesting the upcoming tv show this fall in which Madonna mocks the crucifixtion of our Lord. "Kevin Reilly, an executive at NBC, said Madonna considered the scene mocking the crucifixion of Christ the highlight of her show. We (NBC) viewed it and didn't see it as being inappropriate." Madonna considers mocking the crucifixion of Jesus the highlight of her show and NBC agrees." She is a wicked woman...and I sincerely hope the network will cancel this planned mockery and quickly. I can't bring myself to even quote the article I read...so evil. We need to be careful who our friends are & what we watch and what we condone. Teenagers especially are so vulnerable to going the wrong way in life by the influence of worldly friends ( and wicked Hollywood) and the absence of Biblical knowdedge. God bless them....I know he wants to! "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him, should not perish but have everlasting life". John 3:16 How to Believe? 'Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word" Hear the word of God, ...in believing it, pray and acknowledge to God you are a hell deserving sinner....(only God is holy and perfect) "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and ask him to save you and take you to heaven when your time comes to leave this earth. I know this is true...His Holy Spirit lives in my heart...and I am glad...so glad of this. It was hard for me to come to repentence....just admiting God is right and not me...but oh what a glorious change in me when I communicated with the God of heaven....so real...and loving.

And, I had veggies for lunch, yes I'm back to taking off those extra 5 pounds or so. Such a small amount yet so hard to get victory over! I'd better be getting my cello out, my practise time just doubled by some extra string participation I'm in just now. What a busy week-end. Something special tonight at church and tomorrow after church we are going to my cello teacher's chamber music event. Can't wait to hear that...she's awesome!

"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:16 & 17. Its always profitable to read the whole chapter to get the 'whole' picture of what God is saying....if you have time....=)

Congrats. on the wool. It looks wonderful in the photo you show...and in such a neat chair!

And you're right on target with the Madonna thing. I won't even clarify, since you've done it so well.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi, it's good to read your blog again. you are so inspiring I'vwe had my head in taxes for the last 4 days. Your welcome to use anything on my site that you would like. And, yes I felt very fortunate to be able to go through Gene Sratton Porter's home. The huge butterfly collection is still there. I dream of going back to the Limberlost, but I know I never will. (dreams are free, it's when you try to make them come true, that it cost's money :-) There seems to be more all the time to keep my life full, and busy.

Oh, you live the life :) ... having time to spin wool, cello practice/lessons, going out to hear chamber music ... only in a figment of my imagination (sigh ... but smiling)! My life still involves changing pull-ups, wiping runny noses, and being "mom's taxi service"! (Big Smile) I've had the same job for 23 years ... that's what I get for having my children so far apart! But, I've had time to travel with them to Alaska twice, and visit the New England coast in the autumn ... each time on family cruises, thanks to dh's generous mom! I have nothing to complain about ... I do relish the few hours Nathan is in school M-F (BIG SMILE) God bless you and have a great weekend.
