What do you know? Blogger isn't 'down' after all. My day 7 of my 21 day mini-jounal is inspired by Mary Engelbreit. These are cut-outs from fabric I bought at Wal-Mart awhile back. I bought about 1 1/2 yards and decided to go back for more a few days later and ...gone. Not even the bolt was there. Mary is a smile-maker for me and every once in a while I endulge in a cup of tea with one of her books. I have her 'Time for Tea' book...'This Woman Deserves a Party' , and her coffee table book picturing her home..'Home Sweet Home'. ..a jouney through Mary's dream home'...and is it ever delightful. Honestly though, she must have so much square footage that her home must be like a shopping mall. Woe, that didn't sound complimentary did it! Really though, I enjoy every page....all that red&white & black cheery-ness. I love it! Just remembered, I have a kitchen recipe book and a journal of her inventing too. ~~Thanks for all your nice words about the previous journal page. I'm hoping someone else will start one too. Its a lot of fun to play with, trust me...=). Saturday when I go to the library I will look for a Miss Marple mystery and I have the embossing powder and have done that...how pretty that is too. I could try the embossing pen...I do have one. Thanks for the suggestion! Right now I'm going to read a few pages of my Adobe Photoshop elements 3.0 my daughter got me for Christmas and try to absorb some new knowledge. Then off to practice my music. I feel so pleased my ironing is caught up...oh happy day! Hope you are having a good day, summer is telling us fare-well I'm afraid! I think we already have a cricket in the basement to winter over with us. (Not if I can catch it though!) What? I'm turning down free music???

"Glorious indeed is the world of God around us, but more glorious the world of God within us." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I live in a small city and we have several Miss Marple video tapes in our little library, too.

What a sweet journal page you have created again! I would like to try some decoupage when I finish knitting the sweaters I'm working on for my 2 grandsons. I look at your collage for ideas. I don't think mine will look anywhere near that good, though. You are really an artist.

Well, well, the only way I can keep fom being envious is to try to make one myself. I'm sure it won't look like yours but it will at least give me a new project to work on. Have you got any good instrutions? It seems like I get ideas faster than I can keep up with them. But of course I'll have plenty of time now, cause I got a new computer and I don't have to wait a half hour for every blog to open and guess what they don't shut off when I'm in the middle of some important sentence. :-) O, I'm making a scrap book style family recipe book and it is so much fun.
