Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfullness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." Lamentations 3:22-25

The Lord has never let me down, in fact just the opposite. When trials or heartache come, he is near to comfort and cheer. How, you say? His Holy Spirit will bring a passage of scripture to my mind. Sometimes he shows me his love by a poem...all of life is his, his resources for us are a gold mine...its up to us to seek him. Always, God is speaking through the Word of the Bible in preaching, in reading it and praying it back to him.

Just lately, God has been showing me that we can have victory over discouragement simply by turning our thoughts to him. Instead of feeling the day is over and I have wasted it, he bids me look at the opposite viewpoint. There are still a few precious hours left...his gift to me. I can work, pray, sing .....whatever I choose to do know this...God is with me, and God loves me. Of this I have no doubt. Oh how this cheers my soul and soothes my mind. You are special to him, no matter who are or what you have done or not done. There are only two classes of people in this world...believers on the Lord Jesus Christ and unbelievers. "Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling oh sinner come home." I came home and have never regretted it. And never shall.

Thank you for posting scripture. I'm encouraged to try a new church out Sunday. Uprooting and moving has been difficult in getting connected with a new church home. Blessings and have a restful Sunday.
