I have had such a good time making these collage bookmarkers yesterday. I love to collage. Its as much fun as playing with paper doll clothes when I was 10 years old. I may not have had fancy clothes or many of them but my paper dolls did!.....I'm looking forward to doing more bookmarkers using some new ideas...like tucking a picture of our grandson in among the vintage clip art...which, hurray!! is copyright free. How rare is that! I've just filled the crockpot with a 'meal in a dish' recipe ...so supper is in the 'makin'. I was trying to find my recipe for pumpkin gobs...can't. I think I'll try finding it online. We have some left over yummy icing that needs those gobs.

There's a lot of people hurting and going through a hard time right now (I'm praying), but whatever befalls us in this life, how good to hold on to the truth of salvation and a God who is here for us now....no matter what. He may not take the trials away, but he promises to be with us through thick and thin. And.... if we have trusted Christ as Saviour.... "There is therefore now no comdemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:1 When we get to heaven, what rejoicing there will be!!! And God has promised he will never leave us nor forsake us.... I want to start memorizing scripture & thier references. And I've begun to turn on the Christian radio station instead of tv/home&garden shows, to build up my self in the things & thoughts God desires for me. How about memorizing the words to the old beloved hymns? Thats been on my want/should do list for quite awhile and yet I let this old world crowd those things out. And...I've been not eating after 7pm at night and I cannot tell you how much better I feel. By God's grace, I think this time those extra 10 pounds are going bye bye....Hope you've had a good day and that the weather is cooler than here...whew! its hot.

What pretty bookmarks. I have to get myself time to get back to scrapbooking once again. I miss it and need to stop whatever I am doing that is getting in the way...

My goodness is your entire life as stress free as what it sounds here on your blog. (Sigh)I just cant imagine finding time to make those bookmarks but I'm very impressed! I'm not really into crafts but that would be one thing I could really get excited about. Those are so gorgeous and functional. Well they would be functional if I ever got around to reading a book again! (Another huge sigh)Can you tell I'm envious as can be?

What a nice craft to make. Reminds me of some little Victorian fans I once made with my little "Kepper's At Home" girl's homemaking club. Back in the day before Nathan turned our world topsy-turvy.

and i so agree with you, re memorizing the WORD ... i wonder why i haven't done more of it ... it is such comfort to hear scripture in ones own mind during the tougher days!

blessing to you ...

Beautiful bookmarks!

I need to try the no-eating-after-7-pm thing. I'm a late night snacker and just haven't been feeling well lately. I need to eat better breakfasts as well.

Speaking of memorizing. My 5 year old and I were working on memorizing some verses last night. She LOVES to memorize and the verses come in useful for sure!

I will never forget one Halloween night. We seldom "tick or treat" but always go to the church for the Harvest Party. One year the kids wanted to try this "trick or treating" thing.

She was so scared, she was walking along slowly, holding her Daddy's hand. She was peering around with her eyes squished almost shut (in broad daylight, we went early) quoting a scipture to herself. I am SO BAD, can't recall where it is found ( I think Joshua) about being stong and courageous. It was so cute! She was about 3 years old and was muttering the last part over and over "The Lord your God is with you, wherever you go." She and her seven year old brother beg me to teach them more and love their devotions!

I have rambled so much, I forget what else I was going to comment on...ah well!

AH YES! Just wanted you to know that I started the Holly How book last night when my 13 year old snatched it from me. I think he is almost finished it. He has read very well since he was 4 years old. So reading a 400 page book only takes him a few hours. He wants to be a writer and gleans ideas from every book he reads. Which averages 2 per day!!

Thanks for the recommendation! (is that how that is spelled??)

Have a great day!

The bookmarks are beautiful. It makes me want to make some cards or scrapbook. I should do some of that for awhile so I can rest my wrists from work. That way I can also rest them up for knitting!

Oh Maggie Ann your bookmark collages are absolutely gorgeous! Are you going to tell us where you've got these beautiful copyrightfree vintage images from? At the moment I on't have the time for collage because I spend all my spare time in the garden, so I'm looking forward to go back to collage in fall!
