Hello Monday morning! There are clothes to iron, painting to do, the sweeper to run, my cello music to practise, weeding to do...and here I sit, posting in serene complacence. Webster's Dictionary defines the word complacent as; contentment; self satisfaction. I wanted to post post the other side of the beautiful...so special tea cozy I got over at Dawn's Etsy store. Here's both sides of it now. Every time I look at it I find myself smiling. Dawn makes buying from her store a very special experience. Not only is her needlework gorgeous, she packages it up for you like a special gift....ribbons, handcrafted notes, & I wish I had thought to post a picture of the pretty bookmarkers she included. And....its so much fun to browse some of the other Etsy stores while you are there. I wish I could talk my hubby into letting me have one for my collage bookmarkers....but alas, he has a secret feeling that I'd spend all my time with the glue and scrapbooking papers instead of him....thats what I think! Well, my luxury time is over here, better get 'toit'. Hope your day is sunny and bright...

*Something from my Bible notebook from last evening...."How do we grow in discernment? Discernment is built as we take the word of God and answer life's questions. Be guided by its teachings. Discernment knows right from wrong. This relates to entertainment also. Are we addicted to the media? Can we go a few days without tv? Beware of Hollywood. What thoughts do we allow? Reject or view? Sometimes the best buttons on the remote are the mute and the 'change channel' or ...just hit the off button. Recover lost family time with board games etc. "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes; I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave unto me." .....oh to be like him...blessed Redeemer....

The lighting in the two "cozy" photos is much better than the first post. What nice craftsmanship! If you can't have your own store, just think how blessed you are to have such a fine one near you. Maybe they could sell some of your bookmarks?? Hoping your day is blessed. Thanks for the little "Bible" lesson each day ... it's tiding me over til I get back in gear with food for thought. All of God's word is a feast, but taking one thought each day to ponder is very meaningful. Thanks

What absolutely stunning handwork! Such a treasure.

"How do we grow in discernment? Discernment is built as we take the word of God and answer life's questions. Be guided by its teachings. Discernment knows right from wrong.

The Word of God is our standard by which we evaluate fruits and deeds to see if persons and circumstances are aligned with God's ways. One of my biggest concerns of late is the weaving of New Age into the body of Christ through popular authors that 'sound good' but are not doctrinally sound. There is a compromise for the totality of God's truth in order to keep a unity among denominations and a promoting of self-esteem. A big price of forsaking Holiness of which God has called us to. Let's stop pleasing man and start pleasing God, or go deeper to please Him. Unity doesn't bring Holiness...Holiness brings Unity. If we are truly in Chirst, the Spirit will bind our hearts through His power.

Amen to turning Hollywood off.

Stopping by to let you know you've been on my mind. Sending hugs.

Your teacosy/toaster cover really is something to treasure. I am delighted to see there are still women around who can make these items look just as pretty as the original vintage ones.
