Oh boy, Oh boy....look what hubby brought home yesterday from a yard sale! The Corning ware coffe pot on the right is the treasure. It makes 9 cups!!! We had the little 4 cup pot for years and love it but when company comes over...well, nothing like an (almost) brand new Corning ware coffepot for..are you ready....for $3.00 !!! So last night picture us at home if you will. While I talk to my cello teacher on the phone about getting a music stand...hubby and I are seated at the cozy kitchen table making eye contact, all the while the smell of hazelnut coffee fills the air and soon we hear the cheerful 'perking'. Then we head to the living room with mugs of comforting coffee to catch the end of an old black and white movie. What a relaxing way to end the day....sigh. I highly recommend it =) .

Oh... What a precious find - precious through the happy moment it created for you and your DH. It is so pretty :)
When I was in the US, I didn't like the "regular" coffee too much (it was too different from our French coffee!) so I switched to hazelnut coffee... I thing it was Maxwell's. It was so delicious... Pity they don't sell it here! You've revived a delightful memory here my friend... of my happy year in North Carolina!

I hope you're having a happy day!

When we were married all of those 42 years ago we had a coffee pot just like your new find. Over the years it has vanished but I remember it..Now one just like it is your find...funny how things go around....

What a great bargain! I have three items of Corningware with that blue cornflower emblem on them. Two casserole dishes and a pie plate. Such a great product - I must have had them for 30 years at least, and they are as good as the day I got them.
