I've been a busy girl, weeding and sowing flower seeds. I'm thankful to be able to say, the 30 plus glad bulbs are finally in the ground. They should have been planted weeks ago, but...its now or never for them! ~~Friends, thank you for the heart warming comments on my last post! I'm so glad to be where I am in life right now. All grown up...finally and enjoying the 'hubby & me' time. The kids are grown and all that stress is done with for the most part. The blogworld is just a real treat...one I tried to share with my Mum but it didn't seem to be her cup of tea at all. I miss her a lot. Once or twice a week I say to hubby, 'Oh I wish I could show my Mum this!' whatever it is. The last thing I wanted to show her is a cookbook for diabetics...(no I'm not diabetic) but the price was right at Barnes & Noble Booksellers (love thier name =).. and what a wonderful cookbook. I am looking forward to trying lots of the recipes. Of all things its 229 pages of yummy sounding dessert recipes. "Delicious Desserts when you have diabetes" by Sandy Kapoor. Sandy uses lots of prune baby food and applesause for sweetners. If I've struck gold here I'll share a few of the recipes..grin. ~~~Blogger wouldn't allow me to leave comments at some of your blogs lately either. Thats a sad thing and frustrating as all get out.~~~I love coming to visit you all. Saija's flower pictures were so gorgeous. As I read my Bible reading this a.m. I read this and it made me stop and meditate for a moment...another 'awe' moment. From Moses last prayer of his life.."Deuteronomy 33:13b & 14. Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, and for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and the precious things put forth by the moon...." the sun brings forth the fruit of the garden and the flowers besides cheering our outlook. Mine anyway =). ~~~ Those little dashs mean a change of subject again~~~ I've scrubbed the kitchen and washed a good many windows, had a wonderful time reading my Bible. (its always hard for me to get started doing things but then once I get going, I often don't want to stop...anybody like me?). Now, I'm off to make a birthday 'altered cd'. I wondor how it will turn out..they are such fun to do. Thanks again Dawn, for introducing me to them. And....if you haven't visited her Etsy store....go, go, go. Lots of beautiful things and lots of fun looking around at other store merchandise too. I love what I bought!

I just thought I would say that I love the colour of your gardening boots - bright pink and very summery!

Hello Maggie Ann, I wish you a wonderful Sunday! (it is 8.15 am here in Paris...)
I love that picture of you gardening :) You have such a talent for pictures.
Thank you for your kind comments at my own little corner...

I loved your story of how your husband kept your daughter supplied with fabric provided she used it... My parents used to do so with books. It was OK to buy books as long as we read them. If not, it was very very bad... And I've retained that way of thinking today, and do apply it "unconsciously" - or rather, mechanically - to stash buying.
At the moment I am very happy because I see my fabric stash growing thin because I'm using it so much. I made another dress yesterday, a 30-euro dress for a tenth of this price!
Oh yes, if I had the time (and fewer other activies), I would definitely be sewing a garment a week! It is so satisfying.

Regarding your search for a skirt to play cello... How about a skirt like this one?
I sent the instructions to a few people that asked them at the time, but I realize I never got around to posting them on my blog. Then, I know that you have some sewing experience! But just in case, I would be happy to explain how to make that skirt. =)

I hope you have a holy, happy Sunday! With many a big and a small blessing as the day unfolds :)

I took a glance at "etsy's" shop, and I wish someone was having a baby shower so I could have an excuse to buy a smocked baby bonnet. I will remember her site for the next such occasion!
