Would you believe this is a tulip? It is and I just love these. I've never seen anything like this before and I'm sure I didn't pay very much for it. Maybe I got it at Lowes'. I think I did pick out a few different flowers last fall and am I glad now ....smile. Today went by so quickly. A little laundry, some online time, a little sewing and embroidery, and prayer meeting after a supper of roast with all the fixings. This afternoon I started a redwork design of two old-fashioned girls sitting on a fence. Its a very pretty design but I didn't enjoy tracing the design with a hot iron pencil. However, now that part is done and I'm getting to do the creative stitching. The knitting is on the back burner for now. To much is going on for me to be able to concentrate on anything like that baby sock. I will try again eventually. Its fun to have different things to do..in my case I've got too much waiting on my pleasure but who is complaining! When my hubby gets my outdoor table set up I will start cutting out a new stained glass piece. Stay tuned! ..smile.

"Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth." Psalm 119:151

By the way....."..I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...

Romans 1:16 "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:17

To point others to the Scripture when they are advocating praying to goddess' etc is done only out of a desire for God's word and will to be known. The Bible is God speaking to us and

"All scripture is given by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..." II Timothy 3:16

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all..." I Timothy 2:5

I am trusting in these eternal truths and lovingly hold them forth to all. If you disagree then it is with God, for these are his words...words of life, and love beyond mortal understanding, but within our reach by repentence and faith.

Nope, I only have one blog. My website is www.shyviolet.net. Most of the pieces in my blog are up there as well. Thanks for your compliments and kind words about my jewelry. It's a lot of fun, but I haven't gotten to do much with it during the school year, especially now at end-of-semester-crunchtime.

That is an amazing flower! Just beautiful :)

I can't grow tulips here, too hot. A real shame because I adore them!

Maggie Ann, I found my way here through Isabelle's blog. She and I have been friends since Hurricane Katrina, although we've never met.
She also encouraged me to join 25 Things, which I enjoy "sew much."
It's always wonderful to find a Christian like you who makes no bones about her love for Jesus.
Stop on by!

How beautiful! The tulip's design and color are breathtaking. God must've been smiling when He created that one!

Amen. Even though at the moment we are the focal point of their heated disagreement, it really is God who they're disagreeing with.

Looking forward to seeing your redwork in progress, Maggie Ann. At the moment I am working on a teatowel for a Yahoo stitching group I joined recently. We are supposed to be doing redwork, but it's okay to use any colour, so I am using blue, because the teatowel is actually a woven blue and white squares, so I am stitching teapots in the white squares.
