Wish this was me today...lazing about. Instead I have miles to go and much to do. However, perhaps this picture does do my mindset justice...smile. We've just had this huge work week...and I'm still lagging from it. I called the carpet people this morning and said we were not happy with the installation. A seam running down the center of the room...hmmm. They will get back to us about it, after I turned down the suggestion of an allowance$. I'm hoping they will have a solution but if not...'what can't be cured must be endured'. Off I go to my cello practise...I'm going to try practising scales for 30 minutes with the tv on mute.

i've never heard the expression "what can't be cured, must be endured ... " our old world today doesn't want to endure anything! but sometimes we must!

i hope you DO get some rest ...

sending (hugs) to you!

I would certainly be upset about a seam down the center of a carpet. You should "stick to your guns" about getting it fixed "someway". Only problems can come from that installation. Nice to be reading your blog as I always love coming to your site. Sandy

Hope you take some time to get a little knitting in :o)

I am hoping to make a new post on my knitting blog in the next day or two. I've been working on some baby socks (they're so cute!) and hope to get a pic of them up. These are very easy and don't take really very long to complete.

Still have 1 paper to work on for school and a test to study for...but in about a month from now I'll be able to knit a lot more...at least until I start working, LOL!

Hello Miss Maggie, love the picture, but then, you always seem to find such lovely, gentle pics to share with us.
After a week like you've just had it would be so nice NOT to have to deal with something like that bad installation. Maybe if it's a contract with them the 72 hrs would apply? I just can't think what options you would have once it's "in".....I'll pray for a good outcome for you and DH, Hugs, Finn

Hrmm - damn, it's such a nuisance when you hire a so called 'professional' tradesperson to do something and they do it wrong! I hope they come over and fix it for you. Stand strong and be firm...

Oh, and give yourself a few days of rest and pampering huh?

I have to seriously wonder about a tradesman that would put a seam down the middle of the room. Whenever we have had carpet laid I was always told the seams should run down one side of the room and it shouldn't be near a door if possible so that isn't noticable and there is less wear and tear. I hope it all works out for you.
