Just a quick note in passing by and a picture of my modest Virginia Rose collection that I am so fond of. Here 's my update on the carpet situation....the store is sending thier best man out Monday, thats if he can squeeze us into his day. He will evaluate the situation and see if he can re-work the seam down the middle of the room. My husband is ready to cave...he suggests throw rugs covering the seam...no throw rugs are in my future....grin, at least not to cover the carpet seam. However, I think I will give quarter, if things grow heated. If not, I'd really like the thing fixed. I am on my way to Walmart to buy more Delft varnish for the sliding closet doors, all 6 of them. I have 2 varnished so far...that quart of varnish just isn't even going to come close, so...no blog visits in my day from the looks of things, but hoping anyone who drops by here has a great day. Isn't the weather wonderful today! Well, at least untill those thunderstorms blow in later.

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable." Psalms 145:3

Maggie Ann..Let me be your first comment for the day. I stopped cleaning to read a little. Now I need to get back to it. It is a beautiful day here today also. It is getting hotter and hotter though. I would not give into having a seam down the middle of my carpet. They should have known that when they were putting it in. In a few years you are going to have troubles. And as for throw rugs!! NOPE!! Like you said NO THROW RUGS in your future!! NO WAY!! Well back to cleaning..a necessary EVIL I am afraid! Have a great weekend!! Let us know about the carpet!! Sandy

I collect Moonlight Rose china, myself. I like your display case.

It's a good thing to ask for for Christmas and birthdays! I'm always happy for another piece.

Good luck with the carpet - I can't believe they were stupid enough to even do that in the first place!

I love your china, it's so pretty :)

I am very friendly with all tradesmen who work in our home. I offer cups of tea and coffee, or Coke and iced water on hot days. All is fine until they stuff up - then I get mad! Don't let hubby cave in - go to the person highest up in the chain of command and complain. If they won't do anything, threaten them with your Consumer Affairs office...you do have something like that over there?

I absolutely love roses on dishes. These are truly beautiful.

What a headache about the carpet. We need to have our basement done and I am not looking forward to possible troubles. Hope it works out for you.

Hi Maggie Ann... Thanks for stopping by and your good wishes.
Well, I have to say to my mind, that the join down the middle of the carpet is not an aceptable option, believe me, it will bug you for ever. Ask the 'top guy' how he would like living with a fault like that. It's their inefficient fitting and they should rectify it.
A friend of mine had a nutural coloured carpet fitted throughout the whole of her house, it was a burber type, in just one bedroom they fitted the weave going in the opposite direction, just a slight difference, but nevertheless, it was not right and you became increasingly aware of it, each tme you entered the room. The carpet firm understood and refitted the room correctly.

Maggie, I love your plates, thanks for sharing. God Bless! Marion

Hello dear Maggie Ann! What pretty, pretty plates! It was a wonderful weekend in Northern France as well... Lovely weather to go for long walks and pause on my way to marvel at the beauty of nature, and at our blessings.

I wish you a happy week!
