Oh the charm of Mary Engelbreit anything. Well, almost anything...some of her things are a bit too 'busy' but most of her take on life is charming and cozy. For Christmas one of my gifts was the book.. 'Home Sweet Home'--a Journey Through Mary's Dream Home'. I think its a shame not to be able to share some of the photos on personal web pages....Copyrights are needful but they also stifle the purchaser's ownership. I am tired out from my two days of cleaning and have a day of ironing before me....Home & Garden channel will help the time to pass pleasantly for that. Back to the book...one of the pages picture a glass china with part of the shelves displaying china and tea sets, couples with the books and doilies hanging over the shelves, which I love and have done some of my shelves that way for years..using hand crocheted hankies instead of doilies. Today I will cross-stitch and work on my quilt so I'd better get busy here. I seem to be the type of person that gets so intent on laundry..or whatever that I don't want to stop untill its vanquished....and anybody knows laundry is never ending...right? Leaving you with my verse for the morning..."Unto Thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens." Psalm 123:1 Posted by Picasa

Maggie,
Am I in time for tea? I tried to write you via email, since I couldn't find one for you, I thought I'd drop in for tea and tell you, Thank you for your visit and comments to my blog!

Maggie, do you collect vintage doilies? If so, our local op-shop always has heaps of them, would you like me to get some for you and send them over?

I discovered Mary Engelbreit years ago when my mother purchased the magazine for me. Wonderful drawings! btw...I love those roses on china.

I've missed you and thought of you often in the last few days. I'm squeezin' in friends while the meatloaf is still in the oven. Then it's off to the vets.

oops, timer went off. *sigh* I'll be back.
