I've missed you all! I'm glad to be back home and ready to come visit all my blog friends. I was determined to be good and get the laundry done before I got online. Smile. We had a wonderful visit with our daughter and her husband. Our grandson is just as cute and smart as he can be! He has boundless energy and an imagination that keeps the smiles coming. We are richly blessed by knowing him...and to know him is to love him. Every grandparent knows this I'm sure! ....We enjoyed lots of shopping while there and my daughter gave me a refresher course in making earrings. What fun that was...I came home with 8 pairs! And we worshiped at 2 churchs and had pineapple and ham pizza for the first time. It was good but the sausage and onion pizza was even better. We discovered Dipping spices at Aldies. Ever have that? You mix 1 teaspoon of the spices with 2 teaspoons of olive oil and tear off chunks of bread and dip in the spices. Yum!! While enjoying the visit very very much...a part of my mind and heart occasionally looked ahead to getting back home. I came across these quotes this morning which expresses what I felt in my heart at times. "There is a country in my mind, a landscape in my heart, a place that does not appear on any map but is so clear and sharply detailed that to paint it , I have only to look within." Charles Wysocki....Of course I can't paint my home with the talent of Charles Wysocki, but the clarity of it is just as real. The picnic basket carved on our oak headboard...the rocker in the bedroom holding my pillow with hand embroidered roses. The piano that sits beside the window and you can look up at the mountains while you play a hymn or two. I came across another quote this morning also. It said...."In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." St.John 14:2 My home here is so temporary. Some day in eternity....I will look back on this life and wish with all my heart I had done more for Jesus! When I'm in the mansion....safe at home with my heavenly Father.

Welcome home! Glad you had a wonderful time.

"In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." St.John 14:2

I long to hear those words from Christ, "Welcome Home." Weeping from sheer joy would definitely follow such a wondrous greeting.

To ever hear the Lord say I was not invited would break my heart. To have heard these words coming from people is wounding although not surprising. But that proves that only He is truly faithful.
