I have just enjoyed a cup of instant tranquility. The tea is...'Watkins, Chai'. What a wonderful Christmas gift this was (a special thankyou to the dear friend who gave me the tea, it is delicious)...and to make it even more special is this Summertime Chintz teacup and saucer my daughter gave me for Christmas. Isn't this just beautiful!! I am enjoying my new teacup and tea more than words can express. You will just have to try your own chintz cup of tea...smile. You, know, it always surprises me how calming it is to be alone. Being alone too long brings loneliness of course, but a few hours alone is very restful and refreshing, to me anyway. To be able to harness those qualities of staying serene at all times would be priceless, wouldn't it! Someday in heaven, there will be no sin. I love the very thought and wondor at it. Leaving you now with a poem I like and a wish for a sunny week, and of course a word from God. I loved all your comments ...I did add a few drops of essence of lavender to the 'Method' cleaning solution to. You, know I love peppermint just as well, maybe a tad better..smile.

With Every Rising of the Sun

With every rising of the sun, think of your life as just begun.
The past has shrived and buried deep, All yesterdays...there let them sleep....

Concern yourself with but today, Woo it and teach it to obey,
Your wish and will. Since time began...today has been the friend of man...

You and today! a soul sublime, And the great hour of time.
With God between to bind the twain--Go forth I say--attain.
~~~by Ella Wheeler Wilcox~~~
And..."It is of the LORD' s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good to them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." Lamentations chapter 3, verses 22 to 25.
I love the cup...and it makes me think I need to stop what i am doing and have a cuppa.... When DH and I were dating oh so many years ago..he bought me several china tea cups..all different. I need to get one out.
The scripture is a meaningful one--my dad's favorite. We had the congregation sing the hymn at his funeral. He would have loved that.
A beautiful cup indeed.
I wonder if I'm experiencing the winter blues? Time to get out. Perhaps a bit of shopping to perk me up? *Cheshire Cat grin*
I can't imagine having no sin. That would be a dream come true.
That cup and saucer are simply gorgeous! I'm not a tea drinker but I do like nice tea pots, cups and saucers. Very feminine and pretty.
From the old spinning wheel in the parlour, spinning songs of long, long ago, to the old lamplighter making his way down the darken street, I come to say hello..*S* dear friend.
The tea cup is soooo beautiful, and I love Chai tea..haven't tried Walkins tho.
Vision is failing me today, I'm pretty sure another buried stitch has emerged and broken. No pain or poking from it as yet, but my vision changes immediately when a stitch breaks. Hopefully soon, they will ALL be out of there..lOL.
So I can read much, but if you can stand my touch typing, LOL, I'll keep passing by and stopping in..*S* Hugs and sweet reat, and sunshine on your shoulders, Finn
