This is a plastic canvas needlepoint snowflake my Mum made. I love these and keep one hanging off the medicine chest all year long. I was just checking my e-mail and found this paragraph from some missionaries. The wife was our children's teacher in 6th grade. This blessed my heart as I hope it will yours."For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11) Joseph was told in Matthew 1:21, "Thou shalt call His name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins." The Savior came to save us from our sin, that is from ourselves. The comic strip character Pogo once said, "We have met the enemy, and they are us." How true!! God knows the best way to for us to live our lives in this world, so that we will have great joy, abundant life, peace, and good will. The problem we have is that our old sinful nature tells us we have a better way to accomplish these goals than God?s way. We then find that we are the enemy to ourselves and to our God, Who wants us to have His best. It is good tidings of great joy for all people that He came to save us from our sin and that we can have peace and good will as we live life the way He demands of us in His Word. by M.Wingrove

These types of ornaments are priceless. I still have a few handmade Christmas ornaments from my grandmother.

"The Savior came to save us from our sin, that is from ourselves."

Amen. He rescued us from the wages of sin we had earned for ourselves.

We then find that we are the enemy to ourselves and to our God...

Yes. We were once the enemies of God. Christ calls us to love our enemies and shows us how to do that by giving Himself for us, His enemies, on the Cross so that we might be called the Children of God istead. Who is this beloved Lord God who gives so much?? He is one to be adored and worshipped forever.
