Only 15 more days till Christmas...can you believe it? I'm having such a nice time decorating knowing my daughter and her family are coming next week. Can't wait to be together! Last night we did go to the concert. My husband is a brave man and I admire him for his driving skills and optimism. The snowstorm was supposed to hit our area around 7pm. Just the time of the performance. The violinist happened to also have been the youth symphony director years ago when our daughter played violin in that symphony. Anyway, it was a wonderful performance. I think my favorite music was what he ended with...Sonata in G, Op.96 No. 10. by Beethoven. We got to thank the violinist and pianist and chat. The pianist went and looked out the window and reported no snow...and not 15 minutes later it was coming down so heavily that the roads were slippy and visibility was really bad. Even so, we made it home safely and were glad to get here! It turns out that we got about 3 inchs total...not bad really. The little flocked deer in this picture are vintage and so cute. I think our adorable grandson will like them too, we are eagerly awaiting the visit from you Southerners!! Outside of our salvation, family is the most precious gift we have and if each one knows Christ as personal Saviour, we will be together throughout all of eternity. And for each person anywhere who repents and confesses Christ as Saviour, they are our family too, our sisters and our brothers, oh blessed truth! Leaving you with this verse and thought. Jeremiah 33:3 " Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not". Have you called on God lately for anything? He wants us to! Posted by Picasa

Good Morning Miss Maggie, you concert sounds soooo lovely. It is a joy to have music to lift our spirits and our souls.

The flocked reindeer as so sweet. I'd forgotten about them...but remember them well now that I have seen them again.

Enjoy your family gathering..*VBS*

They don't sell things like this anymore. All your talk of snow and the deer, reminds me of being in West Virginia and the snow came while we were out traveling. When going back home through the dangerous snow covered mountain roads, I told my husband to watch for the deer around the corner. And there it was, a doe running along the road side. She might had caused us an accident if he didn't look more closely since the snow blinded us to her. The Lord watches over His children. Glad you made it to and from safely.

Amen. Those who sincerely call upon the Lord, He will never turn away. We shouldn't either, though I've often felt turned away from church cliques. There is a sadness that comes this year is leaving what we've known as church home for 3 years. And even as I write this, we don't know where we'll be in celebrating Christmas. It will have to be the Lord's leading.
