We had a wonderful day. Great messages from the Scriptures at church and a drive after the service and Sunday School. This is just one of the many beautiful sights we enjoyed as we drove the country roads. Sometimes I just clicked off shots as we drove and other times our son pulled off the road and we got out of his truck, against a boisterous wind and both of us took pictures while my husband sat in the truck, watching and sometimes laughing and joking. In many ways our son and myself are cut from the same cloth. How we view beauty is one. We both reach for the camera and must later share our best shots. His new camera can 'stitch' several pictures together to make one panaramic shot. Just breathtakingly beautiful. He has repeatedly encouraged me to try out his camera and I want to do just that...but the days only have so many hours and I have so much to do. To be able to see this beauty...what the great hand of God has wrought, deeply touchs my heart. "And God saw everything he had made, and, behold, it was very good. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." I am just finishing up the book of Job for my daily Bible reading and I love it. I hear Job speak and I hear God speak. God says to Job "Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?" Job 40:9 While Job yet looked to God to deliver him from the miseries he had...yet he criticized God for letting such things befall him. God was saying to Job....who are you Job? are you mighty like me? can you, a finite man..."Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with beauty. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath; and behold every one that is proud, and abase him." God lets Job know...there is only one Almighty God and Job is but a man. Job repents of his pride and rebellion and is content to know he has God's love and fellowship. In the end of the book, in the next chapter, God blesses Job more than ever before in his life. His health is restored, his honor, his richs. The footnotes in my Bible say that "unmerited tragedy helps us to see God, which is unmerited grace". This is true. At every point of heartache or tragedy in my life, my awareness of God's provision and love for me was never so apparent as then. I love this ending of the book of Job. I share it with you as I end this post. "And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and thier father gave them inheritance among thier brethren"....how precious they were to him, after his trials all of life must have been seen through eyes of gratitude and joy....."So Job died, being old and full of days". After his trials he lived 140 years. Is this not a gracious and loving God .....oh we must trust him in the shadows of our lives as well as when the days are fair. To those of us who are saved he says "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee". To those of us who are not yet saved, he says..."Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool". Isaiah 1:18 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved". Romans 10:13. I will never tire of telling the old old story, of Jesus and his grace. Years ago I used to sit in the pew, thinking....oh why must the pastor tell us about being saved again and again, we have heard this so many times....well, you guessed it...little did I realize I was lost, filled with my opinions, which I placed ahead of God. The day God's Holy Spirit got the truth home to me, I turned in my heart and said Forgive me and please save me to God my new Father. Posted by Picasa

What a breath of fresh air to read how you view God's good earth. I can relate to these deep ponderings.

What a blessed Lord God! So merciful as He waits for our hearts to open to His wooing ways.
