Yesterday while having fun at the tea-party, my friend asked to see a beaded tatted snowflake I had done and I pulled out this practise snowflake which was white at just about this time yesterday. The tea was such a pretty shade of raspberry color, oh it was pretty. Have you guessed yet? Yes.. I soaked this formerly white snowflake in some left over 'Berry Cordial' tea and it took on this wonderful raspberry color. *Smiles*....."A smile is a light in the window of the soul indicating that the heart is home". That is so cute! I had a great aunt who would do tatting once upon a time. She's been dead for a long time now...probably 20some years. She would make doilies and things for my grandmother (her sister) so that's how we got to see her work.

My parents wanted to give us the choice to be religious or not and therefore didn't have us baptized. I asked to be received into the Church when I was 15. After a year and a half as a catechumen I was finally baptized at 17. My whole outlook has been changed since that time, and I hope it'll stay this way.
But being in a non-religious family makes my faith a silent and solitary one... This is a bit difficult at time. That is why I love reading your Christian thoughts as much as everything I love reading and seeing on your blog.

Husqvarna machines are reputed as wonderful machine! But they are expensive in France and that is why I chose a Brother (which I got second-hand for a third of the original price, but it works just as well as a new one!).
An embroidery machine is so amazing, I wish you could be here and see it work. I started creatung a table runner for a dear friend, it's all in lace, and I was thinking of you yesterday night as I was starting to make it, because I was thinking how much it was in your style. Of course this has not the same charm as hand embroidery, but it is pretty nonetheless. And the great thing is that you can still do some hand-embroidery (or work! Which is what I do) while the machine is stitching. This is why I still manage to make some gifts although I do not have much free time: I can go on working while the machine is stitching.
