This is Favorite Things Friday and here is my choice of the week. This perfume bottle was purchased in Macy's dept. store when we visited Times Square in New York City. I selected 2 of these for Christmas gifts. The other one is a pinky/purple and gorgeous too. I am so persnickety that I asked the saleslady to open ?how many styrofoam boxes untill I found just the right ones. (you know, the prettiest!) Anyway thats my pick for today. I just spent a good bit of time practising cello and doing an exercise for my next lesson. I had to write out several lines of music and mark each whole step and each half step. Whew!.....I'm half done with that. I just steeped myself a cup of tea and relaxed for a little while with my book. Trouble with doing everything I should do in a day, sometimes it just doesn't leave me with any energy to do the fun things! Ever feel that way? ...."They say that AGE is all in your mind. Perfume bottles can make a beautiful display. Did you take that picture yourself? It is an amazing effect.

Yes Gina, I went out on the porch and held it up in the air and snapped the picture. I liked the clouds behind it. I've found that glass things are hard to get a good picture of.

gorgeous. I can just see it sitting somewhere, with the light shining through it.

I went to Macy's when I was in New York in December,2001. Amazing to be there after hearing about it so much as a child. I love New York city...

That is really pretty. I think I'd like the purpley one since that is my favourtie colour! The pic turned out well of it too.

I love blues - how beautiful!

My MIL collects perfume bottles and I bought her a few gorgeous imported ones from eBay last Mothers Day. There's something beautiful about colored glass...

And yes, I *do* know what you mean about having no time for the fun things. I find myself either having a really fun and messy day with my kids (which we pay for the next day) or a really cleaning filled one with little joy (other than songs and games while cleaning). Is there an inbetween?

Hugs!
