This picture shows you my very favorite picture of the 3 little girls bent over the pages of a book, enraptured by the printed word. How I longed for a copy of this print for years. Penny's Dept. store had a very pricey framed print on their wall and I would go and stand there gazing up at it in admiration each time we went to shop. One wonderful occasion, with my foot in a cast (the not-so wonderful part) we were on vacation and were able to buy this print for about $5.00 and I had an old frame in the attic I redid. Did the Lord not give me the desire of my heart? Oh yes. He is ever good. Posted by Picasa

I can understand you wanting so much to have that picture in your home Maggie ann, it creates a lovely illusion of peace and love. I think I have seen it before - do you know who the artist was?

Gina, I'm thinking the artist was Walter Firly or something like that. If I find his name (correctly find it) I'll let you know. What is it about Anne of Green Gables that has found kindred spirits in probably millions of people all over the world! I'm glad you are one too!
