My embroidered apron is coming along nicely and pictured with it is the cheerful purse my daughter sewed up for me for Mothers' Day. It is perfect for toting around my needlework. In fact, I think I'm going to go embroider abit now. Its a lazy day here but I hope to pick up the pace yet! My cello practise went really well this morning, my brain is starting to accept some new concepts about positions on the fingering part of playing the cello. I am working on two Minuets by Bach from the Suite in G major, which I absolutely love. They are gorgeous! How wonderful to realize that this life is only the doorstep of eternity, and we that know Christ as personal Saviour will live on with him forever, in such bliss. I'll get to play cello in heavenly places when time no longer exists. My daughter, who is already with the Saviour, is a violinist and waiting for that blessed day when we shall never part again. " O God, quicken to life every power within me, that I may lay hold on eternal things. Open my eyes that I may see; give me acute spiritial perception, enable me to taste Thee and know that Thou art good. Make heaven more real to me than any earthly thing has ever been." A.W.Tozer.... O that we would have this desire before us daily, looking up to HIm, who loves us so. I get so caught up in the temporal I forget that all this is extremely temporary. "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalms 51:10 Posted by Picasa

Oh, both are so pretty! It's easy to see where your daughter got her talents. :-)

You've inspired me--guess what I bought this week? Fabric and a pattern to sew a dress for Elizabeth. I'm looking forward to having some creative time!

I am not very musical but I love hearing about people who are. You shared some beautiful thoughts in your post. Thank you.

And I absolutely love the fabric your purse is made from!

Maggie Ann, what I can see of your apron is looking absolutely gorgeous! I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. Love the pink bag too - such a cheerful colour to lug about with your stitching inside it!
