My daughter started this quilt top with my help I do believe, about 12 years ago. On the phone Saturday, she asked if it was still around. I grabbed my cell phone headset and headed for the attic, still in my nightgown and doubtful we would ever see this again. Lo and behold it was at the top of the attic stairs in a plastic bag. While up there, I crawled around a bit (assuming all the mouse traps were now empty and thier germs long dead) and found some doilies I'd crocheted years and I mean many years ago. Think I'll wash and starch them up, ruffles and all. Anyway, (one of my favorite blogging words, if you've noticed)...here's the quilt top, ready for her to complete. She said she wants to use the 100% cotton batting, as they have 2 old quilts from the Grandmas' and they just have a cozier weight and feel to them. I never thought she'd remember this let alone want to finish it. Do wondors ever cease! *smiling*  Posted by Picasa

That is wonderful that you still kept it about. What fun, headset and all shuffling up in the attic, lol...
I love the idea of her revamping the original thought!
enjoy...

Oh, what a delight to find it after all this time ~ it looks quite sweet (i'm attempting my first quilt ever and basically it's scrappy squares like this one).
I wish we had an attic! How nice to find those doilies & I loved the image in my head of you up there...lol
