This little lady knick-knack was brought to mind after visiting Patra's blog and seeing her lovely collection of aprons & things with crinoline ladies stitched on them. This little lady caught my eye in time past for what reason I don't know, except that I love the serene, the quaint, and the old-fashioned of it. There is something solid, tried and true, and exuding a promise of the rewards of being content in life. Hope your day is filled with some contentment and mine too. Its going to be in the high 90's again and while I will be driving to my cello lesson in an air-conditioned car, my husband will be delivering mail in scorching temperatures. I will be so thankful when the temperatures drop for good. You look froward to summer and yow! foget about these 'dog days' of summer. I nipped back the chrysanthemums (hurray for me, I just nipped over to answers.com to look up the spelling of that flower I just mentioned and I got it right, what a good guesser I am). The yellow Flowering Maple we got at the nursery is covered with hopping little white things. Would that be aphids?? Its quarentined out back along with the two African violets with the same affliction. Rita, thankyou for the help you sent me for the Bullion rose stitch. I am trying to join the Women at Home web-ring and when I copy and paste the code into my blog, it is so large it goes the whole way across the page. Why?? Can anyone help me with this? I fear to mess with the 'innards' of my blog as it is. It takes a lot of courage to copy and paste anything there. If my washing machine could communicate it would be calling me right now to come, so I'm off to the real world and wishing each of you a great day. mmmm, very peaceful pic ... and i sure hope you guys get cooler temps ... we are quite happy with the way things have cooled down here! ya!

and about the banner ... maybe they have a smaller display to give you? i've only registered with one group so far (maybe in the fall i'll do more? maybe?), and they had a choice of 3 sizes to put in the sidebar ... so i chose the smallest (family friendly sign) ...

sending you cool breezes!

is it the code or the banner that goes all the way. If it's the code going all the way across the template page you dont have to worry. The banner will still show up nice and tidy on the main page.
