Evening again and how welcome it is to come to the close of the day and know rest is near. I spent the greater part of the afternoon with Mom at her nursing home. They had a great New Years's eve party in the afternoon. The ladies all had hats and snacks and noise-makers. It was a treat to see the good time they had trying to pull the string on the noisemakers. After the party I put away decorations for Mom. One more Christmas and one more time of special memories made. Then I grocery shopped and came home tired out and glad to be here.......I opened my Bible this morning and read this wonderful passage.......Psalm 65:2 "O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple." I loved this whole psalm and would like to memorize it. Then I would have it with me all the time, just like God is with me constantly. What sobering thoughts to start the New Year with, and what rich comfort. Wishing all a blessed and happy New Year !!
