A picture of my Grandmother and Grandfather either before they were married or just after. My Grandma was a teacher. They had 4 girls and 2 boys. She was an avid reader and loved needlework. She always had lots of cats for pets. I looked forward to going to her house to visit. The atmosphere seemed so relaxed there, flowers blooming everywhere in the summer, and books lying around as if just put down for a moment. She always had cats in the house and was a good cook. When you are small, the world looks so much bigger and impressive. I remember the swing that hung off of her apple tree and what a great treat it was to swing, thrusting out over the hillside, on hot and fragrant summer days.
